Salad

So I mentioned that I'm dieting (only a billion pounds to go!), and I'm trying to figure out how to make my homemade salads taste like store bought salads.
How do you do it!?
I love a good cobb sa.lad. Especially from corn.er bakery or CPK. But my lettuce never tastes the same at home. Do I need a salad spinner? Should I wash the lettuce better?
Tonight I'm going to try, but I was just thinking that you ladies probably all have amazing salads in your back pocket, so I'm asking for your secret tricks. How do I make it delicious?

You know, I've wondered the same thing... why don't salads at home taste as good as others?? Let me know if you find the secret!

Please let us know if you find out. I always wonder if it is the dressing. I hope not because that dressing is so bad for you. :-)

Hey girl! I've never commented before but I just wanted to tell you that Alton Brown (Food Network) says that the key to a good salad is for the lettuce to be completely dry. I might be obsessed with the Food Network :) Anyway, just a little tip for ya! Oh and a salad that I do at home all the time is blue cheese, strawberries, pecans, and poppyseed dressing. You could do a light raspberry dressing instead. Hope this helps!
