I really don't know what my title means, except that yesterday AF came in with a vengance. And a Purple one at that. Not to be gross, but it's been way more purple this time than I remember seeing. And minimal spotting. A little Friday afternoon (14dpo) and then full force Saturday afternoon, evening.
Seriously? Seriously. Not pregnant. Even if I were a "normal", average gal, I would've thought I was pregnant, beyond being a hyper sensitive IF gal who has been trying for way too long.
At Dinner on Saturday my DH and I came up with a new thought. We're going to try an IUI. Before we thought we should go straight to IVF, but we're not going to get to that place financially until summer and we're going to see what we can get going by Januray. We'll skip this cycle because he has the additional testing needed (does he have aids? no, but the doc insists we find out for sure, you guys know the drill), and then December will likely put us on IUI during Christmas break and we'll be out of town, so January it is.
I'm really excited. I'm also debating about whether or not to use clomid. Remember, clomid is likely to give me 4+ follicles. Should I take that (heck, I haven't gotten pregnant yet) or should I just let my own body ovulate one egg normally? Any suggestions?
Oh yeah, my town is on fire, but so far our neighborhood is safe. But now people finally know where Diamond Bar is on a map!

From one teacher to another...I'm so sorry. I teach first grade. And gosh, I wish more teachers at my school understood. Anyway, I feel your pain and frustration. IUI sounds exciting and hopeful! Best wishes! :)
I am so sorry. I know about those bad AF after a cycle. They suck. Hope things get better soon. Glad you feel good about the IUI. I'm hopeful for you!!
**HUGS**
Sounds like a great plan. If I were in your shoes, I'd go for the clomid just because I know it would be better chances of a BFP.
I'm sorry AF arrived. :(
I think an IUI is a great idea! Once we run out of $ for IVF, we will be doing IUI's. I would use clomid if it were me...better your chances.
You asked about Journey Thanksgiving...we are doing a meal for our members and their extended families this Wed. Sara and I are doing the turkeys and the dressing (among other things) since we're the pastor's wives, so it will be a busy few days but a lot of fun!
Enjoy your break during the holidays! I'm definitely going to try and enjoy mine before starting all of those injections in the New Year. :)
((HUGS))
I am so sorry about AF showing! As for the IUI - I agree with PP's. I think it is a great move. I would probably do the Clomid just because it gives you a little better shot at a BFP - however I hate what clomid does to me, so I don't know if I will ever take it again. LOL
i think trying an iui is a great idea. it may have a lower success rate, but its worth a shot. hopefully that is ALL you need.
Boooooo for AF. I'm so sorry to hear she made an unwelcome appearance.
Glad that you guys are staying safely away from the worst of the fires.
Thinking of you this week. *hugs*
